Hi there, I’m Mark. Before Sustainable Solutions Geelong, there was Sustainable Fitness Solutions — my personal training business that’s been helping everyday clients move better and feel stronger for over five years.
As that work evolved, I found myself drawn more and more to supporting NDIS participants. What began as a few sessions turned into a meaningful and full-time focus. Today, around 70% of my work is with NDIS participants, offering support across three key areas: support work, personal training, and allied health assistance.
My foundation in fitness is matched by ten years of service in the Royal Australian Navy. That time instilled the discipline, reliability, and high standards I bring into every aspect of my support work today — but also gave me an insight into the challenges many people face, and the resilience required to work through them. It’s this combination of structure and empathy that underpins Sustainable Solutions Geelong.
I’ve worked with over 50 NDIS participants across all ages and support needs — from movement therapy and social inclusion to mental health support and complex care. I offer consistent, person-centred support that builds confidence and meets people where they’re at, not where they’re expected to be.
My fully equipped home studio in Geelong is designed to feel inclusive, calm, and welcoming. It’s a space where participants and clients can move at their own pace, try new things without pressure, and feel supported. Many people tell me it’s the first place they’ve felt truly comfortable exercising.
From general fitness to NDIS-funded training, I work with people of all ages and abilities to build strength, mobility, and motivation. Whether we train at my home studio or at one of the local gyms I partner with, sessions are always personalised to suit your lifestyle, goals, and comfort level.
With over three years’ experience as an Allied Health Assistant, I’ve worked under Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Exercise Physiologists to support therapy programs and exercise plans. I’m also completing a degree in Exercise and Sport Science, which adds even more insight to the work I do every day.
Many of the people I support benefit from having someone to guide them through life’s messier bits — whether it’s figuring out work and study options, building independence, or just having someone in their corner. I bring patience, encouragement, and real-world experience to every mentoring relationship.
My 10 years in the Royal Australian Navy shaped my approach to work: show up, stay reliable, and give it your all. That foundation helps me support others with structure and focus — but it’s my own life experiences that allow me to do it with empathy, understanding, and respect.
My core values are the basis of how I run my business, live my life, and work with every individual I support. They reflect my past, shape my present, and guide every interaction I have, from training sessions to mentoring conversations.
Everyone is treated with dignity, care, and compassion — from clients and colleagues to family, friends, and the wider community.
I maintain high standards in all areas of my work, showing up reliably and delivering consistent, quality support.
I stay focused on each person’s goals, offering tailored support and giving 100% to every session and outcome.
Being active, present, and connected to others helps turn lived experience into meaningful, everyday support.
I’ve always believed that to offer meaningful support, you have to show up as a whole person — and that includes the life outside of work. I live in Geelong with my fiancé Alison and our dog, and I spend my spare time running, following the footy, and staying active in the community. In 2023, Sustainable Fitness Solutions proudly sponsored the Geelong River Run, and I’ve also worked as a mentor in Veteran support programs — something I value just as much as the training itself. I’ve worked with participants from 15 to 70 years old, across all walks of life, and I pride myself on making people feel genuinely comfortable and welcomed.
Whether we’re training in my private home studio, out in the community, or at one of the local gyms I’m connected with, I aim to create safe, inclusive and enjoyable spaces for people to move, talk and grow in confidence. The relationships I build go beyond fitness — I’m often a sounding board, mentor or just someone to have a good chat with.
I’m currently completing a degree in Exercise and Sport Science and have over three years’ hands-on experience as a Therapy Assistant under the guidance of Allied Health Professionals including Physios, OTs, and Exercise Physiologists. This means I bring a well-rounded, professional lens to the physical and cognitive needs of participants.
My approach is holistic — every session is shaped by your interests, your challenges, and your goals. I also bring a strong focus on social connection and community access. For younger participants, that might mean support in navigating job pathways or study options. For older adults, particularly those with military connections, I bring a deep sense of understanding and shared experience. What matters to you is what shapes the support we build together.
From tailored fitness plans to NDIS supports, everything we do is shaped around the individual. If you’re ready to take the next step, or just want to see what’s possible, you’re in the right place.
